Ram Navami is an auspicious Hindu festival celebrated in the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra. The nine-day festival is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ram on the ninth day. The seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu came to earth this day. It starts with the inauguration of Chaitra Navratra and ends on the final day known as Ram Navami.
Lord Rama is symbolised as a perfect person as per Hindu religion. He is the embodiment of righteousness, gentleness, kindness, compassion, and integrity. He teaches us to remain calm and adhere to the path of truth. Hindu devotees fast for nine days to please Lord Ram and gain his blessings. This year, Chaitra Navratra will take place from 28th of March to 5th of April. The festival is celebrated every year with warmth and liveliness. It teaches us to be charitable and truthful to others.
A grand celebration is organised by Shri Ram Hanuman Vatika year by year. Devotees from different regions of India attend the pujas and bright celebrations with religious fervour. Maharaj Shri Mahatyagi Ji performs “Shat Chandi Maha Yagya” during all nine days of the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratra. A grand Kanya puja is organised on Ashtami (8th day of Chaitra Navratra) to worship goddess Durga.
Ram-Leela will be organised from 7:30 PM to 11 PM at Ramlila Maidan. Ram-Leela showcases the life and epic journey of Lord Rama towards truth and self-righteousness.
